Alice In Wonderland Jr. Chicago reviews
danced all nite
It was a good concert but had a few flaws. First, they started late which is a minor thing. I believe it was the first because every now and then the music didn't drown him out and he sounded good. The most important was the music drowned out Alice In Wonderland Jr. vocals a lot. My other complaint is people that stand and block your view. We do not buy the more expensive better seats because we can't stand for a concert. I love to dance and will get up and dance if everybody around me is but I am also considerate to those that are sitting and make sure I am not blocking their view. In that case I chair dance which is just as good. The positives were: Lionel played all his favorites. His lite show and videos were interesting. So it usually is one of two reasons that the sound covers the vocals. 1) a bad sound person or 2) they are trying to hide his vocals because he can't sing well anymore. Getting up for a couple songs is fine but when you block people's view for the entire concert it is just plain rude. We buy the seats that are up so we can see over people. I used to run sound for major acts. Most of all he is a great showman and that showed throughout the entire performance.
